As one of the four major test and experimentation facilities for artificial intelligence in Europe, new AI applications for agriculture are tested at Josephinum Research together with the partners Raumberg Gumpenstein Research & Development and the University of Applied Sciences FH Wiener Neustadt.
In this context, Federal Minister Norbert Totschnig found words of praise for already successful project initiatives in the field of digitization in agriculture: " A big thank you to Josephinum Researcht, the Innovation Farm and all involved partners, who show a huge commitment here!".
State Secretary for Digitization, Florian Tursky, pointed out the enormous potential that digitization offers in all its facets for agriculture: it is about resource-saving working methods, increasing efficiency in farms, nature conservation aspects, such as reducing the application rates of pesticides, to disaster management topics (drought, forest fire, pest monitoring, ...) as well as the omnipresent shortage of skilled workers.
agrifoodTEF, funded by the EC as well as through the "Future Austria" fund, will further advance the digitalization of agriculture against this complex setting. In agrifoodTEF, technology companies and start-ups in the agri-food sector are supported in the field of AI and robotics with a wide range of services to bring their products towards market maturity.
