Schloss Weinzierl

Schloss Weinzierl is situated in a picturesque park in Weinzierl near Wieselburg / Erlauf in the midst of the southwestern Mostviertel region in Lower Austria. The essential components of the building primarily date back to the early 18th century.

The four-winged castle has an enchanting courtyard including arcades and corner towers in late-baroque style. The complex also includes an original early Baroque church with post-gothic elements.

Today the direction and the administrative department of the Higher Federal Education and Research Institute Francisco Josephinum are situated in Schloss Weinzierl. Furthermore it is one of the most popular cultural and event centers of the Mostviertel region.

In the northern and eastern part of the beautiful campus the educational and boarding school buildings as well as the Research Centre for Food Technology (LMTZ) of the Francisco Josephinum can be found.
