Content of teaching

In order to gain practical experiences in connection with engineering our pupils have the opportunity to work in small teams in the following areas:

In the 1st school year in 6 lessons a week:

Working at the workbench, metalworking, plastic processing, joinery, turning, milling, sheet metal processing

In the 2nd school year in 5 lessons a week:

Forging, mechanical workshop, working with machine tools, welding and constructional steelwork

In the 3rd school year in 5 lessons a week:

Mechanical workshop, working with machine tools, joining technique, electrical installation, computer-aided manufacturing on modern CNC-machines

In the 4th school year in 2 lessons a week:

Programming and computer-aided manufacturing on modern CNC-machines

Our pupils regularly create sample models in all fields of working which show that they have acquired and trained the crucial mechanical skills.

The lessons take place according to the respective schedule of the FTZ (Centre for Production Technology).

The FTZ is operated as an independent unit. This results also from the fact that the manufacturing halls are situated 1,5 km away from the school on the site of the research centre (BLT). Due to the proximity to the well-known research department our pupils enjoy substantial advantages. On the one hand they get aware of the newest developments on the sector of agricultural machines and on the other hand they are in close contact with excellent employees that are available to us as part-time teachers.
