Isotope analysis

This method – determination of stable isotopes of CHNOS - is used for proof of origin of food (e.g. wine, beef) and other plant materials (e.g. fir trees, tropical wood), to differentiate between natural and synthetic aromatic substances and also in palaeobotany and for geological issues.

The currently running investigations and analysis are carried out in close collaboration with scientists from other disciplines (botany, zoology, plant production, food technology).
