AshMelT

Development of a practical and reliable ash melting test for biomass fuels, in particular for wood pellets

Abstract

In order to guarantee the operational safety of pellet furnaces and customer satisfaction, various methods for assessing the ash melting behavior of wood pellets are to be examined and compared. The selected method is then tested for its reproducibility in an international round robin test.
