The locations and core areas of the Innovation Farm

New developments are tested at three locations in close cooperation with the agricultural industry and with training providers:

Innovation Farm Wieselburg, Lower Austria: Located at Francisco Josephinum, the focus is on education, research and development in arable and grassland farming. Scientific knowledge is combined with the requirements from practice and the new technologies. Core areas are: Smart and precision farming, sensor technologies, agricultural process engineering, data management and energy and resource management.

 

Innovation Farm Mold, Lower Austria: Together with the education center, Mold sees itself as the agricultural engineering competence center in northern Lower Austria. Current projects in arable farming focus on soil protection and conservation, process methods and new technologies in fertilization and crop protection.

 

Innovation Farm Raumberg-Gumpenstein, Styria: The core research areas of R&D Raumberg-Gumpenstein are animal husbandry and grassland farming. Project topics are automation and robotics in livestock farming. Concerning grassland farming the competence relates to the optimization of intensive cultivation for the highest forage quality.
