ROPS

The most frequently performed test is the ROPS test (Roll-Over-Protective-Structure), which is intended to simulate a 360 ° rollover of the vehicle.

To test the protective structure, the test loads are applied by using hydraulically operated load cylinders in a horizontal and in vertical direction. The test is a static test. The energy absorption and the resistance against a downward force are tested.

The test is passed if nothing has penetrated the clearance zone (“survival zone for the driver”) during the test process and no breakage of the structure has occurred.
